Marigold Studio | "Celebrate" Birthday Card

This Birthday Card was a lot of fun to create! I had a great time coming up with the color combination and the layout... it has some of my favorite colors! Those who know me, know well how much I gravitate towards bright colors. They have a magical, uplifting effect on me!

So it all started with the fun geometrical pattern paper that I decided to use from my stash. I then stamped out the sentiment using the Avery Elle Framed Fonts Stamp Set which has some text stamps and a border stamp. This allowed me to use two different ink colors on my main piece.

I then fussy cut the stamped sentiment and also flowers from the Avery Elle Oh Happy Day Stamp Set, and the cute bow that I had stamped using the  Avery Elle Laurels Stamp Set, punched out a couple leaves using a Martha Stewart punch  and arranged them on my card.

On some of the elements I chose to give some depth by adding dimensionals. I added a scallop trim and also a strip of darker blue to get some contrast. I also rounded off the corners with the half inch corner rounder from We R Memory Keepers.

The inside of the card was finished by stamping the word "Celebrate" from the Fiskars Make A Wish Stamp Set and I adhered a couple of fussy cut flowers as well.

Hope you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you for joining me on my crafty journey!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
