Today I have a clean and simple (CAS) card for you. I needed to make a Happy Pregnancy card for a good friend of mine and wanted to keep it neutral since I didn't know if she was expecting a boy or girl!
So I chose a soft yellow color card stock and combined it with a bright striped washi tape in aqua that complimented the yellow just right. I then stamped the dress and paper pieced it in a matching blue polka dotted paper, that made it look oh-so-cute!I simply love the font of the sentiment and the cute graphic of the hanging dress!
I decided to die cut the stamped sentiment in a lacey scalloped circle shape from Spellbinders. But it seemed to still lack something- so I went with the rose embossing in the background and added a scalloped lace punch trim just slightly overlapping the washi tape, which really added so much to the final design, I think.
To finish off the card, I tied an aqua twine in a knot to give it a warm and fuzzy feel. After all, this card was for a mother-to-be and I wanted it to have a warm vibe. I hope you liked my take on the card.
